Looks and functions as if part of nature
The site, for comparison purposes, is one square mile (640 arcres) with the same density and total number of home sites as in a square mile of typical subdivisions. However this concept has only a 100-acre footprint for 2300 Home Sites and all facilities, the remaining 540 acres is for open-space or farmland. Typical USA suburbia would cover the entire site, with about 50% in concrete and asphalt.
Site is planned for complete water recycling: ponds, streams, and aquaculture. Substantial food production on site and backyard pleasure gardens. Sustainable comprehensive conservation.
Stair-stepped structure is hidden by trees in the backyard of each home site. The trees, like a protective exterior skin, plus the depth of homes on each side, insulate the pedestrian MainStreet.
